Austrian  Knuckle Lamps had their moment before the event of World War 1.  Some say they should be classified as Arts and Crafts and others as Art Nouveau.  Manufactured in small shops in Vienna. Linz, and the Zellertal and later widely copied in New York City they bring a quirky elegance to any room they enhance, The slogan  "Put some glimmer in your zimmer"  tells it all.       The example shown above is one of the all shade models floating above an endtable as if defying gravity.
